In 2026, Shyra joined Friendship Center to coordinate 50th anniversary initiatives, including launching new events for Friendship Center's Anniversary Weekend Fall 2026: a Conference on Dementia and a Family Reunion.

Shyra has experience in event planning, development, and marketing for businesses and nonprofits. She graduated with honors from Lake Forest College, earning a major in Community Development and minors in Legal Studies and Finance.

As Friendship Center's Community Partnerships Coordinator, Shyra works to build partnerships and expand dementia resources & education in the region.
